Angel Babe Sampler

This sweet baby sampler consists of a variety of stitches, but the focus of this all-day class is Shadow Work embroidery. Students will learn the basis for the art, as well as how to start, which route to travel, stitch length, and how to end. They will also learn proper needle use and the easiest way to approach unusual shapes. Other stitches include seed stitch, granito, stem stitch, lazy daisy flowers, and long and short stitch. This cute sampler features cute, cuddly bunnies, little bluebirds, sweet angel babies, and an adorable childhood prayer. This sampler can also be used as a birth record. Please join Andrea and Wendy in our lovely and spacious New Orleans studio.
NOTE: A sewing machine is not required for this class.

Kit Includes 12 x 16” high-quality white handkerchief linen, Floche embroidery cotton in thirteen colors, 9 needles, a detailed well-illustrated handout, and a color photograph of the completed project.
Student Supplies: 4 or 5” Susan Bates Hoop, Hands-free embroidery hoop (wrapped), Medium screwdriver (for hoop), fine point blue marker or Frixion pen, embroidery scissors, thimble (if you use one), pinning board and pins, and magnification.
