Dimples and Dots

By Wendy Schoen

Here is a delightful project for a baby boy. Sewing for boys requires special attention.

With this project in hand, you can master the art of embellishment without femininity while creating the proper collar, cuffs, and pocket for this adorable baby romper suit. Working with linen, you will learn the quick and easy method of making perfectly shaped eyelets without an embroidery hoop. Wendy will show you her techniques for making perfectly rounded Granito dots and how to turn a simple edge into magic with the buttonhole scallop stitch. This fast-moving lesson promises to keep you on the edge of your seat while enjoying the perfect evening sewing. The precious romper is constructed of blue cotton pique, the perfect contrast to the bright white of the linen collar, cuffs, and pocket, and is just darling with its button belt and snap-together crotch. This is the perfect little suit for your little lad wearing a 6-month size. And for those of you sewing for baby girls, a puffed sleeve pattern will also be provided. Please join Andrea and Wendy in our lovely and spacious New Orleans studio.

NOTE: A sewing machine is not required for this class.
